One simple question you need to ask yourself is this: “How many guests do you realistically think will attend?” You may be inviting 200 people, but invited guests and attending guests are two very different things.

That budget allows for more flexibility while also accounting for the reality of a larger guest count and a more luxurious experience.

Another way to decide on your budget is by looking at cost per guest. As a general starting point, you should estimate roughly $250–$350 per guest. That’s not how resorts actually charge, but it’s a helpful planning tool when you’re building your destination wedding Mexico costs.

One of the biggest reasons why couples are surprised by the cost of a destination wedding in Mexico is because you’re only seeing the advertised wedding package.
